BEFORE YOU GO ANY FURTHER I am not responsible for any damage caused to your device using these image files. If you brick your device, don't come crying to me :) This is a work in progress build of Ubuntu MID 8.04 Currently I have wifi and touchscreen working. I figured I should post this early version so you all can see how far along UME has come! There are still a few issues but it sure is starting to shape up. So lets start: The following 3 files are a SPLIT zip file.Download all 3 to a folder. Open the first one like a regular zip file and it will reconstruct them for you into a single file. I use a free tool called 7-zip (google it) I had to do this to avoid the file hosting limit. http://www.mediafire.com/file/ounwnmnz0dw/moblin_install_aigo8.04.4.zip.001 http://www.mediafire.com/file/kqmt1gfjno1/moblin_install_aigo8.04.4.zip.002 http://www.mediafire.com/file/vhrqd51n1mj/moblin_install_aigo8.04.4.zip.003
There is also a torrent file here http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?mhdt30kinjz
You should be able to take the .img file and create a USB installer using the standard AIGO tools. It's the same process as an AIGO Recovery. Although I haven't actually installed it this way myself, it should work. Make sure you use the newer AIGO USB writer tool. Couple tips: sudo calibration (to calibrate the screen) sudo powerdown (to shutdown the system) sudo reboot (to reboot) I will update this with newer versions of the build as they become ready. Hope you all enjoy! Steve
